to redefine the way people communicate and connect. We are seeking an experienced Software
Architect who will be responsible for creating the architecture and designs for platforms and services
impacting millions of customers.
Applications developed are Cloud Native and leverage the best available platform in the industry
(AWS, GCP, Azure, etc) while basing themselves on standards (TMForum, OpenID, OAuth2, etc)
where beneficial.
The core responsibilities of this role are:
- Define solution architecture and implementation architecture
- Define reference architecture to be used as part of technology “paved way” to speed up
delivery and ensure interoperability - Review Solution Design and Architecture from junior team members
- Ensure non-functional requirement (Security, Privacy, Resilience, Continuity, etc) are
factored into designs
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Define reference technologies to be used as part of technology “paved way” to speed up
delivery and ensure operability - Define Architecture for the platforms and services, as well as for 3rd party integration
- Leverage SaaS, Open source and Industry standards to deliver and facilitate integration and
scaling - Serve as SME for technology knowledge
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Hands-on knowledge of software development and delivery within Agile environment
- Agile software development tools and processes including continuous integration /
deployment - Cloud expertise (AWS-preferred, but Azure welcome)
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Software development experience and ability to be hands on with at least 1 programming
language - Web scale architecture experience
- Cloud native / SaaS experience
- Fluent in English (written & oral)
Key performance indicators:
- Architectures delivered
- Number of software blueprints produced
- Evolution of tech radar
